Perpetrating acts of violence against those whom we disagree with is anathema to supporting the rights of others. Our words, thoughts and principles are our weapons. Murdering an opponent in the political arena does not make your point. Actions such as killing people who speak against you, your principles and others, moves any capital you might have had all the way to zero. If violence is your answer to disagreement then you certainly did not understand the question.
